A profitable Christmas Show was held today by the Dublin Dog Show Society. In the Irish Wolfhounds, Gulliagh Albus won the Green Star Dog under Mr Eamon Murray. Meanwhile in the Dachshunds, Mr Mick Drennan was judging and Gulliagh Dunk'n Donut and his mother Cindy vom Gesselner Feld won both Green Stars, with Dunk'n winning Best of Breed. Later in the Dachshund group which Mrs Cathy Delmar was judging, Dunk'n was placed Group 3.

A super day at Portadown
Canine Club Championship Show, in Belfast. The Wolfhound judge was Mr
Stephen Lloyd, and he gave our Gulliagh Albus the Dog Green Star and Best of
Breed, while Gulliagh Jill Pole, owned by Pauric O'Neill, won the Reserve
Bitch Green Star.
Later on that day, in the group, G. Albus
was placed Group 2, under Mr Adrian Collins.

Back from the Irish Wolfhound Club of Northern Ireland Championship Show, held in Hillsborough Fort, Hillsborough, Co. Down. Jürgen Rösner (Oelmühle) from Germany was the judge.
Out of a record entry of 98 dogs, we had a great day. In the males, Gulliagh Hagrid won Post Graduate Dog, while his brother G. Albus won Limit Dog. In the challenge, G. Albus, at only just 2 years of age, won his first Challenge Certificate, and went on to get Reserve Best in Show. In the bitches, sisters G. Corrig and G. Barraduff won Junior Bitch and Yearling Bitch
respectively, while Pauraic O'Neill's G. Jill Pole was second in a very good Limit Bitch class.
In the specials, we won Best Team and Best Brood Bitch with G. Nedine. G. Barraduff won Best Yearling, and G. Albus won Best Limit.

Carlow and District
Championship Show was held today. Both the Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshunds
and Irish Wolfhounds shared the judge, Mrs Olive Thomas from England. She
gave our Dachshund Gulliagh Dunk'n Donut the dog Green Star and Best of
Breed, and in the Irish Wolfhounds, gave Pauric O'Neill's G. Jill Pole the
bitch Green Star and Best of Breed, so a very nice day.

At Belfast for the first
ever Banbridge and District Championship Show, were the judge, Mr Ben
Reynolds-Frost from England gave Gulliagh Albus the Reserve Green Star and
Pauric O'Neill's G. Jill Pole won the bitch Green Star.
Meanwhile in the
Dachshunds, our Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund Gulliagh Dunk'n Donut won
the dog Green Star under Mrs Zeta Fogarty.

Down to Munster for
Clonmel and District International Championship Show. The judge was Mr John
Lewington from Australia, who gave Gulliagh Sequoia the Green Star and CACIB,
which makes Sequoia up into an Irish Champion.

And the second show of
the weekend was the Dun Laoghaire CS International Championship Show. Mr JJ
Dupas from France was the judge, who gave the dog Green Star and CACIB to
our Gulliagh Sequoia.

In Northern Ireland today
for the Bangor and North Down Champions Show. Under Mr Keith Thornton,
Gulliagh Albus was again Reserve Green Star, while G. Jill Pole once again
won the bitch Green Star.

At Dundalk Championship
today, were judge Mr Goran Bodegard from Sweden gave Gulliagh Albus the
Reserve Green Star, and in the bitches, he gave Gulliagh Jill Pole, owned by
Pauric O'Neill the bitch Green Star and Best of Breed, both Pauric's and
Jill Pole's first Green Star. Later on in the day, G. Jill Pole was placed
Group 4 by Mr Rodney McDowell.

Straight from Sligo to
Leeds via the night boat for the Leeds City & District Canine Association
Championship Show, Mr John Lewington from Australia was judging. Gulliagh
Ardtully won Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in Breed, while his sister, G. Corrig was second in Puppy Bitch. G. Hagrid won Post Graduate Dog, while G. Albus and G. Molly Malone were second in Limit Dog and Open Bitch respectively.

Back in Ireland
momentarily for Sligo and District Canine Club, were Gulliagh Albus won his
second Green Star under specialist Mr M Mahonen from Finland.

The second show of our
English holiday, this time the South Wales KA, which due to the rain, had to
be moved to Newbury in England. This time the judge was Mr Keith Pursglove,
who gave Gulliagh Hagrid and G. Ardtully firsts in Post Graduate Dog and
Puppy Dog respectively, and G. Molly Malone second in Open Bitch class.

Over to England for
Windsor Dog Show, on the grounds of Windsor Castle. Under judge
Mrs I de Haan from the Netherlands,
Gulliagh Albus won Post Graduate Dog, and G. Hagrid and G. Molly Malone were
both second in their classes, Undergraduate Dog and Open Bitch respectively.

The first ever Swords and District
International Championship Show took place today. Our three males, Gulliagh
Ardtully, G. Albus and G. Sequoia all won their respective classes,
with G. Sequoia going to to win the Green Star, CACIB and Best of Breed,
with G. Albus getting the Reserve Green Star and CACIB behind them.

The annual Irish
Wolfhound Club of Ireland Championship Show, the Irish speciality, was held
today at Moone, Co. Kildare. Once again we had a successful day, siblings
Gulliagh Ardtully and G.
Barraduff won Puppy Dog and Bitch, with G. Ardtully
winning Best Puppy in Show.
Another two siblings, G. Hagrid and G. Albus,
were first and second in their Intermediate Dog Class,
and G. Sequoia was second in Open Dog and went on to win the Reserve
Green Star.
Also, G. Nedine won Best
Brood Bitch, and Max Finney handled five Wolfhounds to Best Team.

Hibernian All Breed Dog Club had their
annual championship dog show today, were under Mr Gerry Hickey, Gulliagh
Molly Malone won Open Bitch, Green Star Bitch, Best of Breed and finally
Group 2 under Mr Howard Tonks.
Only 2 more Green Stars left for G. Molly
Malone's Championship now.

Over to England today for the Birmingham Dog
Show, the National Dog Show for England. Mrs Kathy Johnson was the judge,
who gave Gulliagh Ardtully Best Puppy Dog, G. Albus Post-Graduate Dog and
the Reserve CC, his second one before his second birthday, and G. Molly
Malone second in Open Bitch.
Another excellent day, especially for young
Albus.

Finally the last show of a successful Mini
Circuit, again at Clonmel for the Hound Association of Ireland, where under
Mr Bryan Doak, Gulliagh Molly Malone won another Green star.

Down to Clonmel for the second show, ran by
Fermoy Canine Club, where Gulliagh Albus won his first Green Star under Mrs
T Savolainen from Finland, and our Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund, G.
Dunkin' Donut also won a Green Star under Mr T Pehar from Croatia.

The first of the 'Mini Circuit' shows today,
South Tipperary Canine Club Championship Show, held in Thurles, Co.
Tipperary. Under Vincent O'Brien from Ireland, Gulliagh Molly Malone won the
bitch Green Star.

The annual International Easter Saturday
show, ran by the Combined Canine Club, was another successful day for us,
winning both Reserve CACIBS and Green Stars with Gulliagh Sequoia and
G. Molly Malone under Mrs Gabriella Viega from Portugal.

Today was the first IKC
St. Patrick's Celtic Winners Show, in which the entry is limited to the
first 1,200 entries of dogs that have won a certain amount in the year
before.
At this inaugural show,
we had a good day, with Gulliagh Sequoia winning the Green Star Dog and the
title 'Celtic Winner' under Mr T Griffin.
